Hoping FOR A HOME

MATCHING PETS WITH PEOPLE

Our cats are grateful that they have been rescued and are receiving the care they need. We continue to get messages every day to take in more cats. We cannot do it all as we need more Foster and Adoptive homes. Scorch is a sweetheart who came in with an ear injury that needed stitches. He was also neutered at the same time. He is gentle and would love to have his own home. If you have room in your heart and home please let us know by going to our website and sending in an application. www.thelastchancecatranch.com. Also visit www.facebook.com/ lastchancecatranch to keep up to date on what we do. Thank you to our community of supporters and Happy Birthday to our Founder who is 74 years old today!

Simba is a good looking orange and white boy, who was born in 2016 and came to the Humane Society in the spring of 2017. Simba likes people a lot, and is very snuggly. He doesn’t like other cats as much as he likes people, and occasionally gets into tussles with his roommates. Mostly he keeps to himself, exploring and visiting the volunteers.

If you are interested in meeting Simba, you can visit him at the Lethbridge Humane Society (2920 - 16 Avenue N. or call 403-3208991). To view other Haven pets, go to www.lethbridgehumanesociety.com and click on the Available Pets link. Also check out the Lethbridge and District Humane Society on Facebook.

Peter is our ten week old foster. He is a sweet, little guy and will be available for adoption in approximately one month. Bunnies are a huge commitment and so many end up dumped outside after their owners realize how much work they are. Always do your research before getting a bunny. For more information about Peter please call Linda (403 381-9269) or Sam (403 382-0977) of Purrfect Endings Rescue. We are also on Facebook. We have many permanent residents who require special food and/or medical care. Our vet bills are neverending and donations are always gratefully accepted. No amount is too small. We also have an account at Ability Bottle Recycling Depot if you would like to donate proceeds from your bottles.

“That’s just typical!” Have you ever heard that exclamation? Usually it’s meant as an insult – typical of bad behaviour, is what the speaker means. But not in this case! Bailey is your typical young cat – and that’s definitely good! This Siamese cross is just over ten months old, a little on the small side, but full of energy and good humour. That’s just typical! He loves being active, playing with toys, batting balls about - those little furry mice - and chasing something on the end of a string. When it comes to other cats, Bailey’s ready to make friends. Someone just as fun and bouncy would be perfect, but, really, Bailey gets along with almost everyone. That’s just typical! And humans? He loves his people! Lying close and cosy next to a person is a position Bailey likes to be in. He adapts well and is always eager to explore new surroundings – and that’s just typical of an older kitten heading into adulthood. To learn more about him, call PAW at 430-328-6700 or send an inquiry at at pawsociety.com. Meet a typical young feline; meet Bailey!
