Lethbridge man wins $1 million on lucky spin

A Lethbridge man has won $1 million after taking a spin on a wheel at the Alberta Gaming and Lottery Corporation office in St. Albert.

Paul Kenway is the first-ever top prize winner on The Bigger Spin, thanks to a ticket he purchased in March at the Red Apple Store in Coaldale.

The $5 THE BIG SPIN and $10 THE BIGGER SPIN are ZING tickets with one big difference; not only can players win cash prizes in the same way as with a usual ZING ticket, they can also uncover a ‘Spin Win’, and discover their prize through an animated prize wheel on the screen at their local Lotto Spot retailer.

If the player’s Spin Win prize reveals a ‘Big Spin’, they win a $10,000 initial prize plus a chance to spin a real wheel at their very own spin event.

A THE BIG SPIN winner will leave the spin event with a prize of $100,000 up to $500,000; a THE BIGGER SPIN winner will spin the wheel to win a prize of $200,000 up to $1,000,000!

Kenway said he’s most looking forward to being completely debt-free and putting some money aside for his children’s edcuation. He was one of seven winners who spun the prize wheels in the two-day event in St. Albert that saw more than $3.5 million in prizes being awarded.
