At the end of each episode, the two featured families reunite to share the fresh perspectives and eyeopening insights this experience has given them. “Introducing Selma Blair” (discovery+ — documentary premiere, Oct. 21) First-time documentarian Rachel Fleit formed a close bond with her subject when she directed this candid and intimate portrait of the “Hellboy” and “Anger Management” actress. This original account follows her journey of personal acceptance and resilience as she grapples with the next chapter of her life after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2018. “Dune” (HBO Max — movie premiere, Oct. 22) This original feature adaptation of Frank Herbert’s iconic sci-fi novel casts Timothee Chalamet (“Call Me By Your Name”) as Paul Atreides,a gifted young man who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people as malevolent forces battle over a precious resource. Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard and Dave Bautista are also in the impressive cast for director Denis Villeneuve (“Arrival”). “Inside Job: Season 1” (Netflix — series premiere, Oct. 22) This original adult animated comedy follows a shadow government and the dysfunctional team dedicated to committing the world’s conspiracies, from convoluted cover-ups to secret societies. Navigating the office politics is anti-social tech genius Reagan Ridley, who believes the world can be a better place and tries to make a difference.
