The event is on December 9th, 2021 at the University of Lethbridge, Gym Facility. Race Infraction Judges watch racers as they propel their boats across the pool, ensuring they don’t do things they aren’t supposed to do (like kick with their feet to propel their boat). On the third weekend in December, Waterton Park is looking for volunteers to count birds around the park. If you are a beginner, they will suggest a few common birds to learn, provide tips and suggest a count route. Recording sightings will include species and number of each on count day and/or species seen count week, count week is three days before and after count day, and will submit the record sheet in-person or by email within two weeks of the end of count week.
